In addition, we inform you below about the third-party components used by us for optimization purposes as well as to increase the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data in turn on their own responsibility.

Our data protection declaration is structured as follows:

In addition, the Provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the Provider about any correction or deletion of data or restriction of processing that takes place on the basis of Articles 16, 17 (1), 18 DSGVO. However, this obligation does not exist insofar as this notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding the above, the user has a right to information about these recipients.

Likewise, according to Art. 21 DSGVO, users and data subjects have the right to object to the future processing of data concerning them, insofar as the data is processed by the provider in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct marketing is permitted.

Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of the storage no longer applies, the deletion of the data does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations and no other information is provided below on individual processing procedures.

Subscription to contributions
Insofar as you publish contributions on our Internet pages, we also offer you the option of subscribing to any follow-up contributions by third parties. In order to be able to inform you about these follow-up contributions by e-mail, we process your e-mail address.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO. In accordance with Art. 7 (3) DSGVO, you can revoke your consent to this subscription at any time with effect for the future. To do so, you simply need to inform us of your revocation or click on the unsubscribe link contained in the respective e-mail.

To manage the cookies and similar technologies used (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) and related consents, we use the consent tool “Real Cookie Banner”. Details on how “Real Cookie Banner” works can be found at https://devowl.io/de/rcb/datenverarbeitung/. Legal bases for the processing of personal data in this context are Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DS-GVO and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DS-GVO. Our legitimate interest is the management of the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents. The provision of the personal data is neither contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the personal data. If you do not provide the personal data, we will not be able to manage your consents.

Cookies
a) Session cookies/Session cookies
We use so-called cookies with our Internet presence. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your terminal device by the Internet browser you use. Through these cookies, certain information from you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, is processed to an individual extent.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, as the processing enables, for example, the reproduction of our website in different languages or the offer of a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit b.) DSGVO, insofar as these cookies data are processed for contract initiation or contract execution.

If the processing does not serve the purpose of initiating or executing a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. In this case, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.

When you close your internet browser, these session cookies are deleted.

b) Third-party cookies
Where applicable, cookies from partner companies with which we cooperate for the purposes of advertising, analysis or the functionalities of our website are also used with our website.

The details of this, in particular the purposes and legal basis for the processing of such third-party cookies, can be found in the following information.

c) Removal option
You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by setting your internet browser. Likewise, you can delete already stored cookies at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on your specific Internet browser used. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support. In the case of so-called Flash cookies, however, processing cannot be prevented via the browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash player. The steps and measures required for this also depend on the specific Flash player you use. If you have any questions, please also use the help function or documentation of your Flash player or contact the manufacturer or user support.

However, if you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of our website can be fully used.

Contact requests / contact option
If you contact us via contact form or e-mail, the data you provide will be used to process your request. The provision of the data is necessary for processing and answering your request – without their provision, we can not answer your request or at best limited.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) DSGVO.

Your data will be deleted if your inquiry has been answered conclusively and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations, such as in the case of any subsequent contract processing.

Newsletter
If you register for our free newsletter, the data you requested for this purpose, i.e. your e-mail address and – optionally – your name and address, will be transmitted to us. At the same time, we store the IP address of the Internet connection from which you access our website as well as the date and time of your registration. During the further registration process, we will ask for your consent to send you the newsletter, describe the content in detail and refer to this privacy policy. We use the data collected in this process exclusively for sending the newsletter – in particular, they are therefore not passed on to third parties.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO.

In accordance with Art. 7 (3) DSGVO, you can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time with effect for the future. To do so, you only need to inform us of your revocation or use the unsubscribe link contained in each newsletter.

User contributions, comments and ratings
We offer you the opportunity to publish questions, answers, opinions or ratings, hereinafter referred to as “contributions”, on our website. If you make use of this offer, we process and publish your contribution, date and time of submission as well as the pseudonym used by you, if applicable.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO. In accordance with Art. 7 (3) DSGVO, you can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do this, you only need to inform us of your revocation.

In addition, we also process your IP and e-mail address. The IP address is processed because we have a legitimate interest in initiating or supporting further steps if your contribution infringes the rights of third parties and/or it is otherwise illegal.

The legal basis in this case is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the legal defense that may be necessary.

Server data
For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a secure and stable Internet presence, data is transmitted by your Internet browser to us or to our web space provider. These so-called server log files are used to collect, among other things, the type and version of your Internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our website that you visit, the date and time of the respective access as well as the IP address of the Internet connection from which the use of our website takes place.

The data collected in this way is temporarily stored, but not together with other data about you.

This storage takes place on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality and security of our website.

The data is deleted again after seven days at the latest, insofar as no further storage is required for evidence purposes. Otherwise, the data is exempt from deletion in whole or in part until final clarification of an incident.

In this respect, we would like to point out that there is a possibility that user data may be processed outside the European Union, in particular in the USA. General linking to third-party profiles
The provider uses a link on the website to the social networks listed below.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The legitimate interest of the provider is to improve the quality of use of the website.

The integration of the plugins takes place via a linked graphic. Only by clicking on the corresponding graphic, the user is redirected to the service of the respective social network.

After the customer has been forwarded, information about the user is collected by the respective network. This is initially data such as IP address, date, time and page visited. If the user is logged into his user account of the respective network during this time, the network operator may be able to assign the collected information of the specific visit of the user to the personal account of the user. If the user interacts via a “Share” button of the respective network, this information can be stored in the user’s personal user account and may be published. If the user wants to prevent the collected information from being directly assigned to his user account, the user must log out before clicking on the graphic. In addition, it is possible to configure the respective user account accordingly.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website. This is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

The Google Analytics service is used to analyze the usage behavior of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website.

Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, location, time or frequency of visits to our website, is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymization function. Through this function, Google already shortens the IP address within the EU or EEA.

The data collected in this way is in turn used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of the visit to our website and the usage activities there. This data may also be used to provide other services related to the use of our website and the use of the Internet.

Google states that it will not associate your IP address with any other data. In addition, Google keeps a record of your IP address at

https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners

Google provides you with further information on data protection law, e.g. on the options for preventing the use of data.

In addition, Google offers a privacy policy at

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

offers a so-called deactivation add-on together with further information on this. This add-on can be installed with standard Internet browsers and offers you further control over the data that Google collects when you visit our website. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that information about the visit to our website should not be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services. If and which other web analytics services are used by us, you will of course also find out in this privacy policy.

Tracking pixel of the WORT collecting society (VG WORT)
On our website, we use the so-called VG WORT tracking pixel from the provider INFOnline GmbH, Forum Bonn Nord, Brühler Str. 9, 53119 Bonn, Germany, in the form of the so-called SZM (Scalable Central Measurement Method).

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimization and economic operation of our website and in the consideration of copyright interests regarding the content of our website.

The tracking pixel is a graphic that is placed on our website and determines statistical key figures. This makes it possible to calculate the copy probability of texts based on the number of calls and the specific content of our Internet presence. The collection of this data is anonymous. In order to be able to record the access figures as well as your possibly recurring visit, either a so-called session cookie is placed on your end device by your Internet browser or a signature is used, which is created from various information of your Internet browser (e.g. user agent, screen resolution, etc.). However, your IP address is only processed in anonymous form. As an individual user, you are not identifiable at any time.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option to prevent the storage of the cookie by a setting in your Internet browser. You can find more information on this above under “Cookies”. In addition, you have the option to terminate SZM measurement by way of the so-called opt-out. By confirming the link

https://optout.ioam.de/

a cookie is stored on your end device via your Internet browser, which prevents further analysis. Please note, however, that you will have to click the above link again if you delete the cookies stored on your end device.

Google reCAPTCHA
On our website, we use Google reCAPTCHA to check and prevent interactions on our website by automated access, e.g. by so-called bots. This is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Through this service, Google can determine from which website a request is sent as well as from which IP address you use the so-called reCAPTCHA input box. In addition to your IP address, other information may be collected by Google, which is necessary for the offer and guarantee of this service.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the security of our website and in the defense against unwanted, automated access in the form of spam or similar.

Google offers a service for this purpose at

https://policies.google.com/privacy

for further information on the general handling of your user data.

YouTube
We use YouTube on our website. This is a video portal of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “YouTube”.

We use YouTube in connection with the “Enhanced Privacy Mode” function in order to be able to show you videos. In the event that you have given your consent for this processing, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO. The legal basis may also be Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the “Enhanced Privacy Mode” function ensures that the data described in more detail below is only transmitted to the YouTube server if you actually start a video.

Without this “Enhanced Privacy Mode”, a connection to the YouTube server in the USA is established as soon as you call up one of our Internet pages on which a YouTube video is embedded.

This connection is necessary in order to be able to display the respective video on our website via your Internet browser. In the course of this, YouTube will at least record and process your IP address, the date and time, as well as the website you visited. In addition, a connection to Google’s advertising network “DoubleClick” is established.

If you are logged in to YouTube at the same time, YouTube will assign the connection information to your YouTube account. If you wish to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or make the appropriate settings in your YouTube user account.

For the purpose of functionality as well as for the analysis of user behavior, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your end device via your Internet browser. If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option to prevent the storage of cookies by a setting in your Internet browser. You can find more information on this above under “Cookies”.

Google provides further information on the collection and use of data as well as your rights and protection options in this regard in the privacy policy published at

https://policies.google.com/privacy

Use of PayPal as a payment method
If you decide to pay with the online payment service provider PayPal during your order process, your contact details will be transmitted to PayPal as part of the order triggered in this way. PayPal is an offer of PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. & Cie. S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. PayPal assumes the function of an online payment service provider as well as a trustee and offers buyer protection services.

The personal data transmitted to PayPal are mostly first name, last name, address, telephone number, IP address, e-mail address, or other data required for order processing, as well as data related to the order, such as number of items, item number, invoice amount and taxes in percent, billing information, etc..
This transmission is necessary to process your order with the payment method you have selected, in particular to confirm your identity, to administer your payment and the customer relationship. The transmission of your data to PayPal is therefore based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO.

Please note, however: Personal data may also be transferred by PayPal to service providers, subcontractors or other affiliated companies, insofar as this is necessary for the fulfillment of contractual obligations arising from your order or the personal data is to be processed on behalf.

Depending on the payment method selected via PayPal, e.g. invoice or direct debit, the personal data transmitted to PayPal will be transmitted by PayPal to credit agencies. This transmission serves to check your identity and creditworthiness in relation to the order you have placed. You can find out which credit agencies are involved and which data is generally collected, processed, stored and passed on by PayPal in the PayPal data protection declaration at https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.
